Sample Christmas Letter to Parents

If you are away from home during Christmas, it is highly likely that you will be sending a letter to your parents if you can’t make it during the holidays. While writing the letter you can choose to select from being formal or informal.

Start off by talking about their health and mention how you hope that they are in good health. Live the memories the three of you have shared together alongside your siblings if you had any. Moreover, talk to them about how you wish you could be with them on this joyous occasion. It is advised that you also send a card attached with this letter.

Lastly, wish them Christmas once again and send them your love.

Dear Mom and Dad,

I am writing this letter to you to wish you a Merry Christmas. I hope this letter has found you in good health.

It has been six years since I have been out of station and haven’t seen you two together. I really miss those times when we were together and we would celebrate this occasion like a family. I am sure you understand my job requires a lot of time and for that I have to stay away from the two of you. However, this year things are going to be different. We will meet on this Christmas Eve and we will make it far more special than the last one we celebrated together. I have taken a few extra days off and will be returning back home for at least a month and a half. We will be together once again. I hope this cheers you up.

I want to wish you a Merry Christmas once again and I hope to see you both soon.

With lots of love,

Will Wheaton
