Sample of Christmas Letter to Grandmother

Christmas is the time of the year when families get together and spend time with each other. If for any reason you can’t be with your grandmother this Christmas, write her a good letter instead. Begin by sharing how much you miss her. You can then remember the time you spent with her and then end with wishing her the best and insisting that she tries to make it this year.

Dear grandmother,

I really hope this letter finds you in good health. I just found out that you might not be able to make it here in time for Christmas this year and I must say I am not happy about it. I was really looking forward to have you around and was wondering what you would get me this Christmas.

However, dad did tell me that you had some issues with the visa process and that he is trying to workout things with the authorities. I really hope all of this gets sorted out and you get to fly here in time.

I was hoping this Christmas would be even better than the last and I was all excited about us baking together again. I am also praying for your recovery and good health and if you can’t make it here in time, I am planning to ask dad to take us all to you after Christmas.

Thanksgiving this year was not the same either, without you and your delicious recipes. I want you to remember that I am always thinking of you, especially on occasions like this and I know how hard it has been for you ever since grandpa died. Just know that you are never alone and even though I can just call you, I am sending this letter as a special token of my love for you.

Stay safe, look after yourself and take your medicines on time. Love you a lot.

Your beloved,

Rebecca
